Fitness Coordinator – Group Exercise

Kaizen House of Athletics | Fitness Operations Department

Reports To: Fitness Director

Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Join the Experience at Kaizen

At Kaizen House of Athletics, our mission is to help individuals become the best version of themselves—physically, mentally, and personally. Guided by the philosophy of continuous improvement and grounded in a People First culture, we are committed to creating an environment where members feel supported, challenged, and empowered. By combining exceptional service, meaningful connections, and a high-performance atmosphere, we are building a community that inspires lasting growth and success.

The Role

As the Fitness Coordinator – Group Exercise, you are responsible for supporting the Fitness Director and serve as support for Fitness operations. The Fitness Coordinator partners with the Director to drive success and growth of the fitness department. The Fitness Coordinator will serve as a proactive, engaging, dependable team member that emphasizes Kaizen’s training practices. Also responsible for creating an elevated fitness experience that inspires performance, builds community, and promotes lasting wellness. This role serves as the connection point between Personal Training, Group Exercise, and member engagement, ensuring every fitness offering reflects the Kaizen commitment to continuous improvement, exceptional service, and meaningful human connection.

Through a combination of coaching, leadership, organization, and relationship-building, you will help members move with confidence, challenge their limits, and achieve meaningful results while fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment. You will oversee the coordination and growth of our Group Exercise program, support the success of our instructors, deliver Personal Training services, and ensure every fitness space is organized, clean, and experience ready.

The ideal candidate is passionate about people, energized by developing others, and committed to creating moments that make members feel seen, supported, and inspired. More than managing schedules or programs, this role helps shape the culture of the fitness floor by creating an environment where both members and teammates can become the best version of themselves.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the Group Exercise Experience

  • Support the Fitness Director with the execution of department goals, initiatives, and operational priorities.
  • Facilitate communications, expectations, standards, and priorities to the fitness team.
  • Create a seamless and exceptional Group Exercise experience by coordinating class schedules, instructor availability, and class coverage.
  • Recruit, onboard, develop, and support instructors who embody the Kaizen culture and coaching philosophy.

  • Take ownership of the Group Exercise studios and fitness spaces by ensuring they are clean, organized, safe, and always prepared for exceptional experiences.
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance, studio readiness, and facility presentation standards.

  • Support department initiatives that drive participation, retention, and overall fitness program growth.
  • Contribute to a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
  • Support facility events, fitness challenges, workshops, and communitybuilding initiatives.
  • What Success Looks Like

  • Group Exercise classes are consistently organized, wellattended, and reflective of the Kaizen experience.
