Full-time Location: OR Job Summary The District Fitness Manager is a visible, hands‐on leader who spends time in clubs coaching, developing, and supporting fitness teams while driving district‐level fitness strategy and results. This role partners closely with club and district leaders to grow member engagement across Personal Training, Group Exercise, and Small Group Training by improving team capability, program execution, and the overall in‐club fitness experience. The District Fitness Manager leads through presence— assessing operations, developing talent, strengthening accountability, and translating fitness strategy into action that increases participation, performance, and impact across the district. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Accountable for district fitness business results including and not limited to fitness club operating profit (COP) and EBITDA (including fitness sales, staffing/labor spend, coach productivity, fitness penetration across member base, and Group X effectiveness) Lead execution and provide input into the strategy aligned with the needs of the district while delivering company‐wide fitness initiatives In collaboration with the District Manager, create and execute growth strategies to increase member participation in various fitness offerings including Physical Training (PT), Group Exercise Classes (GX), and Small Group Training Serve as subject matter expert on field fitness operations and provide consultation on district strategies Partner with Fitness Operations team to support and execute promotional events and provide direction for District Fitness and Group X events and trainings Liaison between corporate Fitness and fulfilling needs and requirements of the club business operations Must have detailed understanding of fitness performance at both the local (micro) and company (macro) level Visit clubs to assess operational effectiveness and provide input and consultation Oversees and supports district/clubs to optimally schedule fitness department (PT, GX classes, etc.) In partnership with field leadership and HR (Human Resources), drives strategic talent plans to include recruiting, staffing and talent development of personal trainers and Group X (GXI) instructors Consult district and club leaders on optimizing Personal Training and Group X staffing and schedules to ensure team accountability and growth. Responsible for ensuring PT and GX equipment is ordered timely and within fitness and club budgets Required Qualifications, Skills, Education And Abilities 3‐5 years of progressive management experience supervising employees 4‐6 years of broad fitness industry or comparable industry experience within operations, hospitality, retail, or service required Prior experience in multi‐unit management and or proven career growth across multiple locations required Proven experience in a collaborative role interfacing with multiple stakeholders within differing levels of an organization required Ability to persuade and influence diverse audiences and manage through adversity with tact and business acumen Must be able to deal with complex problems and be able to present recommended solutions, clearly and concisely Bachelor's degree in related field and or certification in fitness, personal training or group exercise strongly preferred The selected candidate must be able to perform the position in the geographical area of the outlined district at time of hire. Physical Demands/ Environmental Conditions/Travel May be required to work at a computer or on phone for extended periods Must be able to work extended hours (nights and weekends) on occasion Travel Requirement Requires regular travel within the assigned region, including driving and occasional air travel; expected travel up to approximately 50‐75% depending on geography and business needs. Pay Range for Los Angeles, Orange County and Seattle: $93,495.00-$126,213.00 (Exempt), $44.95-$60.68 (Non-Exempt). Pay Range for Bay Area (California) & New York City (incl. New Jersey): $97,560.00-$131,700.00 (Exempt), $46.90-$63.32 (Non-Exempt).
