Job description

Position: Girls Flag Football Coach
Salary: $7,496.92
The Butler Area School District is excited to launch a new Girls Flag Football program and is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and student-centered individual to serve as our inaugural Head Coach.
This is a unique opportunity to help build a program from the ground up, establish a positive team culture, and provide student-athletes with an exceptional educational and athletic experience.



Responsibilities

  • Promote the academic, athletic, and personal development of student-athletes.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive team environment.
  • Teach fundamental and advanced flag football skills, strategies, and sportsmanship.
  • Plan and conduct practices, games, and team activities.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants.
  • Communicate effectively with student-athletes, families, school personnel, and athletic department staff.
  • Adhere to all district, league, and state athletic regulations and policies.
  • Assist with program development, equipment management, scheduling, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous coaching and/or playing experience in football, flag football, or a related sport preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with middle and high school student-athletes.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and character development.
  • Ability to obtain all required clearances and coaching certifications as required by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the Butler Area School District.
