As part of the Data & AI product team, you will work with the leading Football leagues and federations (e.g., NFL, NCAA, and others) to build, enhance, and maintain the products that capture, process, and deliver football data and insights to teams, leagues, media, and betting partners around the world.
You will own the full football product suite - AI-driven/automated eventing, Performance Studio enhancements, Next Generation Stats & insights, and Rich data graphics/visualizations - across the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and discovery through build, launch, and ongoing growth and improvement. This is an opportunity to shape how football data and analytics are captured and experienced across the industry defining the modern language of sport. You will be working at the intersection of computer vision, real-time data collection, and advanced sports analytics.
The ideal candidate has strong American Football domain experience and is seasoned at delivering modern, data-driven B2B SaaS products, is comfortable owning a diverse product portfolio, and can move fluidly between deep technical/data conversations and strategic, executive-level discussions. You will define and evangelize a clear product roadmap, manage cross-functional stakeholders, and drive measurable outcomes using both qualitative and quantitative data.
What You Will Own:
  • As the Senior Product Manager, American Football, you will be responsible for a suite of football products spanning the full data and analytics value chain:
  • Football Events Feeds - Real-time and post-game football events feeds used by leagues, broadcasters, and downstream partners.
  • Football Statistics Feeds - Core and advanced football statistics feeds that power team, player, and league-level analysis.
  • Performance Studio - Driving a roadmap of continual improvements to our player and team performance analytics platform, including new metrics, workflows, and user experience improvements.
  • Next Generation Stats & Visualizations - Development of next-generation football statistics, tracking-derived metrics, and data visualizations that differentiate Genius Sports in the market.

Job Responsibilities:
Build, Maintain, and Grow the Genius American Football Product Suite
  • Understand customer needs across leagues, teams, media, and betting partners; develop requirements and drive delivery of football events feeds, statistics feeds, Performance Studio, and Next Generation stats/visualizations.
  • Own the product lifecycle end-to-end - from ideation, discovery, and validation through build, launch, and post-launch growth and iteration - for each product in the football portfolio.
  • Define and evangelize a clear, prioritized product roadmap for football products, and communicate it consistently to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, design, data operations, and business teams to ensure football product initiatives are delivered on time and on budget.
  • Provide strategic direction on data-informed, long-term investment opportunities for the football portfolio, evaluating tradeoffs and prioritizing in consultation with cross-divisional partners.
  • Balance investment across the football product portfolio across three horizons - Now/Horizon 1 (0-12 months), Next/Horizon 2 (12-36 months), and Future/Horizon 3 (36+ months)), ensuring a healthy mix of incremental improvement and longer-term innovation.
  • Define KPIs that drive business results for football products, build dashboards to measure performance, and make data-driven decisions using both qualitative and quantitative analysis.
  • Partner with commercial, marketing, and operations teams to drive efficient, effective go-to-market motions and continuously gather feedback from leagues, teams, and media/betting partners and translate it into product requirements.
  • Stay current on football analytics trends, computer vision tracking technology, and competitor offerings to keep the football product suite at the forefront of the industry.

Position Requirements:
  • 7-10 years of relevant product management experience.
  • Strong American Football domain knowledge/expertise
  • Product management experience building B2B SaaS or other relevant data feeds/ applications: understanding functional requirements and building for scale.
  • Strong grasp of product lifecycle mechanics: discovery, analysis, defining and driving OKRs, ideation, prioritization, and delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Experience owning multiple related products or a product portfolio simultaneously, balancing competing priorities across a suite of offerings.
  • Extensive background collaborating with UX design partners to build intuitive, user-first experiences.
  • Strong background in BI and/or analytics required; experience working on data-oriented or sports statistics products preferred.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills, including experience presenting to executive leadership, participating in the sales cycle, and handling sensitive, critical issues.
  • Experience working in and delivering products or services in an agile/lean environment, including backlog management (user stories, epics, and bugs).
  • Proficiency in gathering and transforming product requirements into a practical, prioritized product roadmap.
  • Prior experience as a football statistician, analyst, or a strong passion for football and football analytics is a plus.
  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience required.

What Success Looks Like:
  • American Football events feeds, statistics feeds, Performance Studio, and Next Generation stats/visualizations operate as a coherent, well-sequenced portfolio rather than disconnected efforts.
  • Product decisions are consistently grounded in customer needs and data to drive our Genius revenue streams, with clear KPIs tracked and acted on.
  • Cross-functional teams (engineering, design, data ops, commercial) trust the roadmap and rely on the PM as the source of truth for football product direction.
  • Leagues, teams, and media/betting partners see measurable improvement in the quality, timeliness, and depth of football data and insights.
