The Defensive Analyst works to identify weaknesses in plays and proposes new strategies to the PVAMU coaching staff. Key duties include analyzing opposing team defensive strategies, charting tendencies, and suggesting strategic plays, as well as providing summarized reports to coaching staff and players.

The salary isdeterminedin accordance withthe University's compensation structure and will becommensuratewith the candidates' education and experience, within the assigned salary range for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying weakness in defensive plays and suggest new strategies to coaching staff in practice.

  • Overall game day preparation, defensive statistical and video analysis of opposing teams.

  • Analyze opposing team defensive strategy, chart tendencies and propose strategic plays.

  • Analyze film data on current team and opponents and provide summer report and analysis to coaching staff and players.

  • Assist with the coordinator of daily administrative support statistical analyses and opponent preparation within the PVAMU football program. This includes, but is not limited to: The coordination of video cutups and distribution of preliminary defensive scouting reports.

  • Assist self scouting defensive schemes.

  • Travel with coaching staff and team to provide statistical support.

  • Assist with special projects as assigned.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor's Degree.
