Job description

At Mid-Ohio Food Collective, our mission is to end hunger one nourishing meal at a time while co-creating communities where everyone thrives. We are looking for a visionary, analytical, and collaborative Director of Strategy, Insights, and Innovation to help guide our Strategy and Innovation department and shape the future of hunger relief.
Position Summary
As the Director of Strategy, Insights, and Innovation, you will provide critical strategic guidance, project leadership, and advanced analytical support to advance internal operations and external customer insights. Reporting to and partnering closely with the Chief Innovation Officer, you will lead strategic planning, scale AI and automation adoption, oversee innovation portfolios, and translate complex data sets into actionable strategies that expand our community impact.
Key Responsibilities
  • Strategy & Planning: Assist in leading short- and long-term strategic initiatives, portfolio management, and research across health, nutrition, and economic mobility sectors.
  • Data Analytics & Modeling: Build robust statistical models and dashboards to evaluate the impact of food distribution programs, translate insights into compelling business cases, and support fundraising or advocacy efforts.
  • Innovation & AI Leadership: Champion the adoption of emerging tech and agentic AI workflows across the organization, managing change and establishing clear governance frameworks.
  • Departmental Management: Provide mentorship, coaching, and workload prioritization for team members while managing divisional budgets, vendor compliance, and executive-level communications.
What We Are Looking For
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Business, Strategy, Technology, or a related field required. Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years in data analytics, research, corporate strategy, or business operations. Proven experience working alongside senior executive leadership and managing cross-functional initiatives. Proficiency with analytics platforms and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python).
  • Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, high attention to detail, strong executive presence, and a proven capability to apply emerging technologies to mission-aligned causes. Experience in nonprofit or health environments is highly preferred.
