Job description

Job Requirements
Starting Salary: $68,000 yearly
This isn't a back-office strategy role-it's your chance to own and scale a growing foodservice business. As Food Strategy Manager, you'll lead the vision, strategy, and performance of a 12-store convenience chain's food program, with a clear mandate: drive aggressive growth (25%+) while strengthening margins and brand appeal.
You'll shape what customers eat and how they buy-from menu innovation and pricing strategy to promotions, daypart expansion, and in-store execution. Using data as your compass, you'll uncover opportunities, test new ideas, and turn insights into measurable results. Working cross-functionally with culinary, operations, marketing, and supply chain teams, you'll ensure every initiative translates into real performance in stores.
If you're equal parts strategist and operator-someone who thrives on ownership, accountability, and building something bigger-this role offers the opportunity to make a visible, lasting impact on a high-growth foodservice business.
What does a Food Strategy Manager do?
• Own total foodservice sales, margin, and profitability performance across all locations.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive foodservice strategy aligned to annual growth targets (e.g., 25%+).
• Lead menu development, including core assortment, innovation pipeline, and limited-time offers (LTOs).
• Establish pricing strategy, including price architecture, value positioning, and margin optimization.
• Build, manage, and continuously optimize a data-driven promotional and marketing calendar.
• Identify, develop, and expand key dayparts (e.g., breakfast, lunch, late-night) to increase traffic and sales.
• Analyze sales, margin, and customer data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities; adjust strategy accordingly.
• Develop and implement bundling, upselling, and attach-rate initiatives to increase average transaction value.
• Partner cross-functionally with culinary, operations, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure successful execution.
• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and hold teams accountable to performance targets.
• Evaluate competitive landscape and industry trends to inform strategic direction.
• Support testing, piloting, and scaling of new products, programs, and operational initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency while maintaining product quality and consistency.
