Skilled Nursing Facility - New York
Full Time and Part-Time Available
Northern Manhattan Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking an experienced Food Service Supervisor to support our Dietary Department. This role works closely with the Food Service Director in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting to ensure high-quality meal service while maintaining full compliance with New York Department of Health regulations.
Responsibilities of Food Service Supervisor:
  • Assist the Food Service Director in ensuring all DOH regulations are followed in food preparation and meal service
  • Prepare menus and assist with staff scheduling
  • Supervise Dining Services staff and enforce departmental policies and procedures
  • Ensure timely, high-quality food service for residents, staff, and guests
  • Maintain accurate inventory of food and non-food supplies
  • Direct Dietary Aides in meal preparation, service, and clean-up to ensure standards are met
  • Complete required forms, reports, and documentation per departmental guidelines

Requirements for Food Service Supervisor:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a nursing home or skilled nursing facility
  • Strong knowledge of dietary operations and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to supervise staff and maintain a team-oriented environment
  • Must be available to work weekdays and some weekends
