Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and listen carefully to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
  • Explain service options clearly and recommend additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, or brake repairs to enhance customer satisfaction and dealership revenue
  • Coordinate with technicians and parts staff to schedule repairs and estimate timeframes for service completion
  • Use estimating software to prepare accurate repair estimates and explain costs transparently to customers
  • Upsell appropriate services by highlighting vehicle benefits and maintenance importance while maintaining integrity
  • Manage customer interactions professionally via phone, email, or in person, ensuring a positive experience from start to finish
  • Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately while maintaining confidentiality and security

Experience

While previous dealership or automotive experience is a plus, it is not required—training will be provided! Ideal candidates will possess strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and a desire to learn about automotive diagnostics, repairs, and customer service. The following skills are beneficial but not mandatory:

  • Basic mechanical knowledge or mechanic experience
  • Familiarity with estimating software or auto service management systems
  • Experience in auto body repair, collision repair, or automotive diagnostics
  • Knowledge of transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, suspension systems, tire service, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, air brake systems, alignment procedures
  • Customer service background with excellent client communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
