Job description

Position Description:
Always greet and provide excellent customer service with customers.  Performs a wide range of duties that include preparing hot/cold foods, sandwiches, salads, and serving customers as needed.  Assist in cleaning work areas, equipment, and trash removal.  May assist in set up and closing procedures of department.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
•    Always greet customers as they approach the department, provide excellent customer service through entire interaction.
•    Set up food service, kitchen, prep stations, and equipment for business day.
•    Prepares or assists in the preparation of hot and cold food items.
•    Ensure proper utensils, napkins and condiments are available to customers.
•    Check food temperatures before serving following all food safety guidelines.
•    Check Cold case temperatures frequently.
•    Visually inspect all products for quality or out of date labels and remove from selling floor as needed.
•    Take orders and serve food items to customers following customers specific requests.
•    Clean, wash and maintain work areas, including floors, facilities, pots, pans, service ware, utensils, and equipment.
•    Collect and place garbage/compost in designated containers.
•    May provide guidance and training to other employees performing related work.
•    Report any equipment malfunctions or safety issues to management immediately.
•    Assist in receiving deliveries and putting loads away in an orderly manner.
•    Other duties may be assigned by management.
