Job description

The Food Services Coordinator is responsible for preparing and serving daily meals for participants in the Fathers Forever program. This position prepares lunch for approximately 20 men at the office and dinner for approximately 10 men in the transitional housing program. All meals are prepared on-site, with no travel required. This role requires strong cooking skills, efficiency, and the ability to engage respectfully with the population we serve, including justice-involved individuals.
Key Responsibilities

1. Meal Preparation & Service

  • Prepare daily lunch (approx. 20 participants)
  • Prepare daily dinner (approx. 10 residents) at the same time as lunch preparation
  • Ensure meals are nutritious, properly portioned, and ready on schedule
  • Serve lunch in a professional and respectful manner
2. Kitchen Operations

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen
  • Wash dishes, sanitize surfaces, and ensure proper food storage
  • Follow food safety and sanitation standards
  • Monitor inventory and notify leadership when supplies are low
3. Participant Interaction & Environment

  • Interact respectfully with program participants
  • Help create a welcoming and structured meal environment
  • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries
  • Reinforce program expectations in alignment with Fathers Forever standards
4. Coordination & Planning

  • Assist with meal planning and grocery needs
  • Ensure meals are properly packaged and labeled for dinner service
