Summary

  • The Food Server directly interacts with the public with good communication skills and providing outstanding service. This job creates a great experience for our guests by delivering prompt, friendly service, quality products and maintaining a clean and comfortable dining environment. The position requires menu knowledge, liquor and wine knowledge and following proper serving techniques. This is a physically demanding job that requires cleaning and resetting of tables, keeping station and side station clean while maintaining guest and company service standards.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome all guests in a professional manner upon seating.
  • Adheres to all Food & Beverage, as well as safety and health regulations.
  • Use of proper cash handling procedures and ensuring all guests checks are generated and paid for. Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized work area.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction and effectively addresses any concerns or complaints, escalating to management as appropriate.
  • Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promotes the culture and values of the company.
  • Stays up to date on current menus, discounts and casino promotions.
  • Ensures expedient service of food and beverages to the guest.
  • Accurately rings all orders into the POS system.
  • Monitors guestsโ€™ needs on a continual basis, ensuring all requests will be promptly fulfilled.
  • Assists other employees with maintenance (side work, opening/closing duties) as necessary.
  • Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment.
  • Ability to multitask calmly and effectively in a busy, stressful environment.

Requirements:

Qualifications/Education/Experience

  • Must have and be able to maintain a valid Food Handler Certification and Responsible Beverage Server Certification as a pre-requisite to being extended a job offer.
  • Must successfully pass Title 31 training within 90 days of employment.
  • Highschool diploma or GED.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • 6 months of previous experience as a food server.
  • Knowledge of drink preparation, liquor, and wine knowledge.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish is preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
