Job Summary

The Folder Gluer Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining folder gluer machines to produce high-quality folding cartons according to customer specifications. This role ensures efficient production, adherence to quality standards, and safe operation of equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.



Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate folder gluer machines (e.g., straight-line, crash lock, 4/6 corner cartons) according to job specifications
  • Read and interpret job tickets, CAD layouts, and production instructions
  • Adjust machine settings (gluing systems, feeders, folding rails, compression sections) to ensure proper carton formation and adhesion
  • Monitor production runs to maintain quality, consistency, and efficiency
  • Perform in-process quality checks, including glue application, alignment, and structural integrity
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and quality issues, making necessary adjustments to minimize downtime
  • Conduct routine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication of equipment
  • Ensure proper material usage and minimize waste
  • Accurately complete production reports and documentation
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment (5S standards)
  • Coordinate with prepress, die cutting, and finishing departments as needed
