Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bindery Cutter or Folder Operator to join our team. This role is crucial to ensuring the quality and efficiency of our binding operations. We are looking for someone who brings extensive experience, expertise, and dedication to produce top-quality results in a fast-paced environment.

1st Shift: M-F 6:00am to 2:00pm plus Overtime as needed
Working as a Bindery Cutter/Folder Operator, you can expect the following:
  • Read and understand production tickets
  • Set up and run machines to job specifications
  • Perform routine maintenance at recommended intervals
  • Identify and troubleshoot problems
  • Assure quality of finished product
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
  • Work with all departments throughout Prisma
  • Keep workspace clean and organized
  • Demonstrates good problem-solving skills
  • Maintains a good attendance record
  • You will also develop and maintain business relationships with your (really awesome) coworkers within Prisma.
  • You will provide input on forming Prisma best practices (we LOVE collaboration and input!)

Candidate Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years in production field related to stitching/finishing in commercial printing
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Mechanical skills
  • Ability to sit, stand, kneel and crouch
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Must have exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Must be well organized and a self-starter
  • Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
