Job description

Position Summary
The Retirement Solutions Specialist (RSS) is a highly capable, detail-oriented professional who plays a central role in the delivery and execution of Retirement Solutions operations. This position partners closely with the Retirement Operations Manager, Billing and Reporting Lead, Director, and broader team to ensure the efficient management of client service, system processes, and platform operations.
The RSS serves as a key contributor to the successful onboarding, maintenance, and servicing of retirement plans and associated accounts. This individual ensures timely, accurate communication across internal and external stakeholders while proactively addressing advisor, client, and team needs.
Focus provides team members the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule. Our hybrid model is defined as 3 days in office work required per week, while giving team members the option to work remotely 2 day per week, or as assigned by their team leader.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Serve as a key point of contact for operational and service-related inquiries
  • Support Retirement Plan Consultants (RPCs) and Advisors (RPAs) in servicing plan sponsors and participants
  • Coordinate communication across advisors, clients, recordkeepers, and internal teams
  • Manage team workflows, including shared inboxes and incoming requests, to meet service standards
  • Oversee onboarding, conversion, and maintenance of retirement plan accounts
  • Maintain accurate data across systems and ensure alignment between platforms
  • Produce and distribute reporting while supporting billing processes and data accuracy
  • Partner with internal teams and external vendors to resolve issues and improve service delivery
  • Research, troubleshoot, and resolve operational challenges with a solutions-oriented approach
  • Identify and implement process improvements, contributing to efficiency and scalability
  • Lead or support projects, training efforts, and team initiatives while maintaining internal resources

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1+ years of professional administrative experience, financial services preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows-based systems
  • Experience with CRM platforms, preferably Salesforce

This position is a non-exempt position. The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $53,000-$57,000 base salary compensation range. Actual base pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k). Please note that the job title is subject to change based on the selected candidate's experience and education.
