Can you work a job while on FMLA?

FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act) provides eligible employees with unpaid leave for specific family and medical reasons, but it does not prohibit working during leave if the employee is able and the employer agrees. Employees must ensure that working does not violate FMLA restrictions or employer policies, and they should communicate with their employer about any employment during FMLA leave. Generally, FMLA leave is intended for absence from work, not for working while on leave, so employees should clarify their situation with their employer to avoid potential issues.
