About Us

Atlantic Cargo is a growing transportation company specializing in OTR team operations across the United States. We are seeking an experienced HR Consultant with a strong understanding of the CDL trucking industry to help improve our recruiting, retention, onboarding, and workforce management processes.


Position Overview

The HR Consultant will work closely with company leadership to evaluate current human resources and recruiting operations, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies that support growth, compliance, and employee retention within the trucking industry. This is a project-based consulting opportunity with the potential for an ongoing partnership.


Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and optimize recruiting and onboarding processes for CDL drivers and office staff.
  • Develop strategies to improve driver retention and employee engagement.
  • Review organizational structure and recommend operational improvements.
  • Create and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Provide guidance on FMCSA-related employment compliance and industry standards.
  • Assist with performance management systems and employee development programs.
  • Train managers and recruiters on effective hiring and retention practices.
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting methods for HR operations.
  • Recommend tools, technologies, and automation opportunities to improve efficiency.
