RRP Pricing & Promotion Manager

What will you do?

You will develop the USA Reduced Risk Products (RRP) pricing strategy and promotional plan to deliver JTI LIGGETT objectives. Reduced-risk products (RRPs) are products with the potential to reduce the risks associated with smoking, e.g. modern oral, e-vapor, heated tobacco products.  This position leverages data-driven insights to adapt to evolving consumer and market dynamics. Working closely with Commercial Planning, Sales and Finance teams, the role contributes to defining the pricing investment strategies and activation tools to achieve company objectives. Key responsibilities include developing and evaluating RRP pricing and promotional plans, ensuring alignment with our annual targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop RRP Pricing strategy that aligns with brand strategy, competitive environment and delivers on the set business model objectives. Identify and track source of business and key competitive brands in each state. Prepare and deliver compelling sales allowance resource allocation proposals for the senior management team.
  • Develop RRP promotion strategy on chain and state level incl. mechanics, frequency and definition of acceptable promo pressure. Assess the most efficient promotion strategies and programmes, recommending the solutions to maximize ROI. Work closely with Commercial Planning, RSMs, KAMs, NAMs for the adjustments of programs and plans to secure execution excellence.
  • Lead constant information exchange with the Sales and Marketing teams to ensure the promotional programs address market challenges and opportunities. Work closely with Commercial Planning, RSMs, KAMs, NAMs for the adjustments of programs and plans to secure execution excellence.
  • Lead the continuous assessment of RRP pricing strategy effectiveness online and offline. Build proposals to adjust, revise and improve.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams by sharing monthly/quarterly results of specific pricing programs, and provide business opportunities to sales team to help achieve company's business objective. Work with sales operation team for cycle planning.
  • Manage the resource and budget allocation for price promotion, prioritize resources to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of ROI.  Work with sales operation team for cycle planning and KPI measurement.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field.
  • 5+ years' experience in FMCG marketing and sales functions.
  • Fluent English.
  • Strong business acumen to understand consumer and competitive dynamics to build solid pricing strategies, both long term and short term tactical plans.
  • Ability to translate data into solid recommendations that maximize changing market place dynamics.
  • Strong time management, people and communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of USA business, trade practices & programs.
  • Proven track record of demonstrating high-level strategic thinking and business opportunities identification skills.
  • Strong financial acumen & critical thinking.
  • Advanced analytic skills with the capability of extracting key learnings & business insights from data.
  • Budget management, forecasting, development of KPI's & performance measurement monitoring.
  • Strong work ethic with effective verbal & non-verbal communication.
  • Ability to communicate assertively/persuasively to defend business rationale and decisions.
  • Advanced Microsoft skills (Excel & PowerPoint).
