Job description

A kind and easy-going family in Berkeley, CA is seeking a rotational nanny to join their team caring for their toddler. The general daily schedule will be 6:30am-6pm. The nannies will work on a 7-day rotation, with flexibility needed for longer travel with notice. The position is live-out so candidates must be local. The parents hope to find a career nanny who can engage their child in developmentally appropriate and educational activities. The child is in school 5 days per week (3 days until 12pm and 2 days until 2:30pm) so some child-related family assisting is expected during the day.

  • Coordinating schedules for naps and meals, activities, and travel
  • Meal preparation for the child

  • Organized: spreadsheets and lists encouraged
  • Excited to work with a toddler/preschool age, know ages and stages, and what developmental milestones are coming next
  • Confident swimmer would be nice to have

  • Already local, commuting distance from Berkeley
  • Travel-ready: experienced traveling with families and current passport for international travel
  • Driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Professional/career nanny who knows how to maintain boundaries
  • Tech savvy (baby connect, calendar, etc.)
  • Easygoing personality, able to roll with changes and adapt quickly to different environments
  • Team player with excellent communication
  • Trustline certified, or willing to certify
  • Legal to work in the US

  • $45-50 per hour
  • 6 paid sick days
