Position: Full-Time ROTA Live-Out Nanny / Family Assistant
Location: Dallas, TX
Start Date: April 1st
Compensation: $40-$45 per hour + overtime
Benefits: Full health insurance coverage, 401(k), and bonus
Vehicle: Family car provided for work use
Position Overview
A busy, active family is seeking a structured, maternal, and physically active full-time Nanny / Family Assistant to support three children (ages 7, 12, and 14). This is a one-week-on / one-week-off schedule during the school year, and two weeks on, two weeks off schedule during the Summer. The ideal candidate is confident, organized, authoritative yet warm, and thrives in a fast-paced environment managing multiple schedules and logistics. This role requires strong communication skills and seamless coordination with both parents.
Schedule & Hours
School Year Structure (One Week On / One Week Off):
  • On-Week: Approximately 55-60 hours per week
    • Morning arrival at 7:00 AM for school drop-offs
    • Afternoon return from 1:30 PM - 8:00/8:30 PM
    • Some full-day coverage (10:00 AM - 7:00 PM) as needed
  • Off-Week: Minimal responsibilities (emergency contact only; no required in-home presence)
Summer Structure:
  • Two weeks on / two weeks off rotation
  • Summer travel required
  • Occasional horse show weekends
Approximately 25% of travel needed through out the year.
Overnight travel compensation: $150 per night When traveling, workday begins when children wake and ends when they go to bed.
Responsibilities
Childcare & Structure
  • Provide strong, maternal, and authoritative guidance with clear house rules and discipline
  • Serve as a positive role model
  • Support children's development in sports and extracurriculars:
    • Soccer
    • Equestrian riding
    • Cheerleading & activities
  • Oversee school routines and transitions between homes
  • Manage medications as needed
  • Maintain structured routines during school year and adapt during summer
Logistics & Organization
  • Manage children's calendars in Outlook
  • Coordinate school schedules, therapy appointments, extracurricular activities, and doctor visits
  • Ensure smooth weekly transitions between parents
  • Maintain clear communication with both households
Driving
  • School drop-offs and pick-ups
  • Transportation to sports, lessons, and appointments
  • Family vehicle provided
Light Household Support
  • Light meal prep and cooking for children
  • Occasional grocery runs
  • Light tidying if housekeepers are occupied
  • Light dog care (two family dogs)
