Description

The Fluid Power Technician contributes to JEM's assembly process by testing hydraulic manifolds

per customer specifications and troubleshooting effectively.

Requirements

Areas of Accountability:

1. Troubleshoots for solutions to issues arising from automated tests and manual tests. Recommends changes

when appropriate. *

2. Confers with employees in other departments, including Manufacturing Engineering Technicians for Assembly

and Testing, to address issues in testing methods and procedures. *

3. Trains new and current employees to ensure policies, procedures and work instructions are understood and

followed. *

4. Tests using Automated Hydraulic benches and manual applications and inspects products following

specifications and requirements of JEM and its customers. *

5. Reads and deciphers hydraulic schematics. *

6. Uses company intranet and business software to gather and record information per work instruction. Maintains

company and/or management reports, such as Test Bench PM's and Test Bench Validations. *

7. Complies with JEM quality standards. Completes non-conformance records as needed.

8. Focuses on Continuous Improvement in the areas of testing methods and processes. Recommends changes

when appropriate. *

9. Prepares manifolds for assembly, stages jobs, and moves assemblies as needed. *

10. Assembles products following specifications and requirements of JEM and its customers as needed. *

11. Ensures work area is clean and orderly in accordance with 6S principles. *

12. Complies with all JEM policies and procedures, including ISO, OSHA, and AWAIR requirements. *

13. Supports JEM's vision and mission and exemplifies JEM's core values daily. *

14. Maintains regular and predictable attendance. *

15. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

Hydraulic Engineering Technician diploma or AAS degree; or Pneumatic Engineering Technician diploma or

AAS degree; or Certified as a Fluid Power Specialist desired, or 1 to 2 years' experience in previous position.
