Job description

Fire Protection Engineer (FPE)
FRAME Technical Services, LLC seeks qualified Fire Protection Engineers (FPE) for positions to be based in Richland, WA. The successful candidates will be self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented, who can work well on a team as well as independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities Include:
Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Subject Matter Expert Level FPE: Senior level expert with extensive knowledge and experience in Fire Protection. Provides high-level functional analysis, technical management and direction for problem definition, analysis, and requirements development and implementation on the subject matter. Recommends and advises on subject-matter improvements, optimization, and maintenance, provides expertise in a diverse range of specialties including but not limited to code and standard interpretation, risk management, training development quality management and control, fire protection systems, program management Fire Hazards Analysis, as well as other disciplines required for creation of comprehensive or complex solutions. May perform as a high-level subject matter expert on project-related matters as related to assessing regulatory compliance and potential impact on established procedures, organizational culture, or regulatory authority. Demonstrates outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. Frequently recognized by government and or industry as an expert in Fire Protection.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • BS in engineering or related technical field plus 25 years of experience directly related to Fire Protection
  • Should meet the qualifications for Professional Member Grade in the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE) or be an engineer having a Professional Member Grade in the SFPE or be a Registered Professional FPE.

Senior Level FPE: When assigned, may direct the work of other Senior Engineers and Engineers. Under general supervision, all conventional design engineering and analysis. Plans and conducts independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • BS in engineering or related technical field plus 15 years of experience directly related to Fire Protection
  • Should meet the qualifications for Professional Member Grade in the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE) or be an engineer having a Professional Member Grade in the SFPE or be a Registered Professional FPE.

Mid-Level FPE: Under general supervision, evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • BS in engineering or related technical field plus 6 years of experience directly related to Fire Protection
  • Should meet the qualifications for Professional Member Grade in the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE) or be an engineer having a Professional Member Grade in the SFPE or be a Registered Professional FPE.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of the codes, principles, practices, and techniques in the field of fire protection engineering, including NFPA and regulatory codes.
