Field Sales Representative

Berendsen Fluid Power Company Overview

Berendsen Fluid Power is a fluid power distributor providing Value Added services in the field of Power and Motion Control to the Industrial and Off Highway Markets.  We are one of North America’s largest fluid power integrators with 50 locations in the United States and Canada.  We are fully integrated with supply, design and engineering services and repair and warranty services.

Job Description

The Field Sales Representative’s role is to develop and support technical solutions for off highway mobile systems.  The individual is passionate about working with customers on all the fluid power and electrical control of the fluid power in their applications. Territory to include select accounts accessible from Charlotte area.

Job Duties

  • Maintain existing customer base
  • Grow customer base by identifying new customers and markets
  • Develop hydraulic and electrical solutions
  • Maintain high competency of our product
  • Maintain high competency of customers product
  • 30% overnight travel
  • Maintain communication with Berendsen support team
  • Project management and time management
  • System troubleshooting
  • Provide hydraulic and electrical schematics with the aid of Berendsen engineering
  • Build strong customer relationships
  • Maintain customer reports monthly
  • Provide pricing on the systems developed within Berendsen guidelines.

Job Qualifications

  • 5 plus years experience in Fluid Power or Industrial Supply outside sales.
  • Engineering or Technical degree a plus.
  • 5 plus years of experience in technical field
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Preferred Skills

  • Plus 1 Guide experience
  • Fluid power experience
  • Electrical controls experience
  • AutoCad LT
  • Microsoft Office

The individual will report to the field sales manager.  They will also work closely with the support team within Berendsen and our vendors.  They must be a self starter with a passion to find solutions for their customers.
