Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

FIRE LIFE SAFETY DIRECTOR

Schedule: Full Time

8AM - 4PM

4PM - 12AM

Compensation: $25.81 Per Hour

As an FLSD, you are charged with planning and implementing fire and life safety plans, ensuring all systems associated with fire safety are in working order, and making sure that all buildings under your care are up to the most current fire codes.

  • Oversee and enforce fire safety protocols, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
  • Conduct routine fire safety inspections and ensure emergency equipment is operational.
  • Develop and implement fire evacuation procedures and lead emergency response drills.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for emergency responders in the event of a fire or other life safety incidents.
  • Respond promptly to security and fire safety incidents, taking appropriate action to mitigate risks.
  • Investigate and document any safety or security concerns, recommending corrective actions.
  • Train staff on fire safety procedures and emergency preparedness.


Qualifications:

  • NYS Security Guard license
  • 16 HR OJT Certification
  • F89 CERTIFICATION
  • Must have passed an onsite FLSD examination
  • At least 4 years of FLSD experience
  • Experience in operating 6+ floor buildings preferred
