JOB TITLE: Measure (Flooring) Tech
REPORTS TO: General Manager
LOCATION: 1530 Goodyear Dr. Suite D El Paso, TX 79936
JOB TYPE: Full Time | Monday-Friday | 8:30AM-5:30PM
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: More than 50% within the assigned territory

We provide flooring installation services to the multi-family industry (apartments, student housing) and to the growing multi-family business market.
JOB OVERVIEW:
The Measure Technician will work independently and will utilize the company's tool to accurately take flooring measurements to determine the accurate amount of flooring material needed for the floor plan. This position will support our Multi-family business line.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Measure various apartment floor plans using the company's tool and upload measurements into the company's measurement application
  • Will be expected to travel to various customer sites to obtain measurements as needed
  • Creating and delivering bids & samples to customers
  • Delivering materials to installation crews as needed
  • Assisting with quality control appointments
  • Will work with the assigned account executive to discuss measurement details
  • Submit completed floor plan measurements to the company system

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be 18 years or older and have a valid driver's license
  • Understands basic concepts of room measurement and square footage
  • Competent with basic math skills
  • Accurate input with detailed information
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficient with technology such as Windows 10; Excel, Google/Gmail
  • Communicates clearly and is able to work well with others
  • Open to new technology and will be comfortable in learning new applications
  • Manages priorities; able to change direction if needed
  • Prior flooring knowledge / measurement experience, helpful but not required
  • Previous experience with floor measuring software (such as Measure Square or RollMaster) - helpful but not required
  • Must be physically capable to walk, step upstairs, kneel, bend, stand, sit for long periods of time. Can tolerate exposure to heat and cold.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
The employee may regularly be required to work some evenings.
The employee must have the ability to travel extensively on a frequent basis by driving a personal vehicle, by commercial air travel, or by ride-share. The duties of this position will often require the employee to work in non-temperature controlled warehouse environments which may be dirty, dusty or otherwise uncomfortable.
