Summary

The Developer I, GIS role will work in a team environment to support Spire's Enterprise GIS System including desktop, web, mobile applications, and provide process documentation and training as necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist GIS Support team members and other internal groups with change management of database schema and administration, views/templates, reporting, documentation, and testing
  • Support all internal mapping applications and troubleshoot GIS related issues
  • Conduct regular review of internal support tickets including follow ups with internal clients
  • Assist in providing user training, creation of documentation, training modules for interdepartmental or other GIS user bases
  • Assist in the creation of documentation and work processes for interdepartmental and other GIS user or system workflows
  • Assist in user access, development, and upkeep for all ESRI Mobile applications (Survey 123, Collector, ArcGIS Field Maps)
  • All other duties as assigned

Required Education (certifications, licenses)
  • Bachelor's degree Geography, Computer Science or related field

Required knowledge, skill and abilities
  • 1 year of experience, required.ย 
  • Basic understanding of ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Pro. Familiarity with ArcGIS Enterprise or ArcGIS Online, as well as publishing and managing content within those platforms. ย Experience in application development and maintenance (preferred).
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of GIS principles. Some knowledge of python, arcade and java scripting preferred.
  • Basic understanding of integration points with internal customer, asset and work management and mobile work management systems.
  • Basic understanding of the gas industry.
  • Basic understanding of historical documentation and records research.
