Location: Dallas / Fort Worth, TX (Hybrid – 3 days onsite / 2 remote)

Schedule: Flexible 9/80 work schedule (every other Friday off or half-day Fridays)


🎯 Position Overview

Our client, a well-established organization in the energy sector, is seeking a Geospatial Systems Analyst to support enterprise GIS platforms and workflows across the business.

This role sits within the IT organization and focuses on supporting, enhancing, and optimizing geospatial systems, applications, and data processes used by a broad internal user base.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical GIS expertise with a customer-focused mindset, supporting both day-to-day operations and ongoing system improvements.


🔧 Key Responsibilities

Provide technical support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for enterprise GIS applications

Support and maintain geospatial databases and data workflows, including ETL processes

Configure, test, and deploy GIS software and related tools

Automate workflows and improve efficiencies using tools such as Python and data integration platforms

Maintain and enhance web-based mapping services and applications

Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors on system improvements and issue resolution

Develop and maintain documentation, workflows, and technical processes

Deliver user training sessions (virtual and in-person) to support adoption and best practices

Monitor system performance, scheduled processes, and data integrity

Contribute to system upgrades, enhancements, and new technology evaluations


🧠 Required Qualifications

2+ years of experience in GIS, geospatial systems, or related IT environments

Experience supporting client-server GIS environments and geospatial databases

Hands-on experience with ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal/Server) or similar platforms

Familiarity with relational databases and data management concepts

Experience with scripting or automation (Python, SQL, or similar)

Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer support skills

Understanding of coordinate systems, projections, and geospatial concepts
