Job Title:ย  ย Manufacturing Operator
Location: PAC - Pennsylvania Cable

Summary/Objective:ย  Responsible for the manufacturing of connector assemblies, cable assemblies and cable. This includes but is not limited to operating wrappers, braiders, extruders, presses, soldering equipment, measuring tools, and testing equipment.

Ability to Learn Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Understand and operate production machinery.
  • Efficiently read and use tools such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Understands how to read assembly drawings and manufacture the parts accordingly.
  • Monitors quality of both raw materials and finished goods.
  • Maintains all production paperwork, including quality assurance and efficiency information.
  • Sets up and makes minor adjustments to equipment.
  • Perform processes associated with assembly of connectors, attaching connectors to the cable and cable manufacturing.
  • Test cable and assemblies using network analyzers and TDR's.

Required Experience:
  • Physical Requirements: capable of standing and/or sitting for more than 180 minutes straight, and not suffering from any sensory deprivation and/or paralysis of the limbs.
  • Lifting Requirements: Light work - Exerts up to 50 pounds of force frequently.
  • Atmospheric Conditions: Must be willing to adhere to all department safety rules and regulations.
Preferred Education:ย 
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
Training Required:
  • On the job training as appropriate.
