Job Duties / Responsibilities

  • Install, wire, and test solar PV systems and battery energy storage systems (BESS) in residential and commercial settings
  • Perform electrical work in compliance with NEC, local codes, and safety standards
  • Install inverters, battery backup systems (such as Tesla Powerwall, Enphase, etc.), disconnects, junction boxes, and other components
  • Wire and integrate battery storage systems with solar arrays and main electrical panels
  • Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and system layout plans
  • Run and terminate conduit (EMT, PVC, flex) and wiring (AC/DC)
  • Perform diagnostics, testing, and troubleshooting for both solar and battery systems
  • Ensure systems are properly grounded and meet all electrical and safety standards
  • Work closely with solar installers and project managers to complete jobs efficiently
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all electrical and battery-related work

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of residential or commercial electrical experience (solar and battery storage experience preferred)
  • Familiarity with major battery systems (Tesla, Enphase, etc.) is a plus
  • In-depth knowledge of NEC codes and electrical safety best practices
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and spec sheets
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, especially with hybrid or off-grid systems
  • Familiarity with standard electrical tools and multimeters
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Physical Demands and Abilities

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including climbing ladders and working in tight spaces
  • Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods
  • Willingness to travel to multiple job sites if needed

Clean Driving Record:
A valid driver's license is required. Candidates must have a clean driving record and be comfortable driving company vehicles to and from job sites.
