Position Summary

The Director of Marketing will serve as a key member of PPC Flex’s commercial leadership team, responsible for driving the strategic direction and execution of the company’s marketing function. This position reports to the Chief Revenue Officer and will collaborate regularly with the VPs of Sales, VP Commercial Operations. This individual will lead initiatives that strengthen PPC Flex’s market leadership, accelerate demand generation, enhance our brand equity, and support commercial growth objectives and value creation plan across PPC’s key submarkets.

The ideal candidate is a proven marketing leader with deep B2B expertise, a strategic mindset, and the ability to translate complex packaging solutions into compelling value propositions that resonate with customers and partners.


Key Responsibilities


Leadership

  • Work with leadership to develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with PPC Flex’s growth objectives, corporate vision, and value creation model.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to Sales, Technical, and Executive Leadership, shaping market positioning and go-to-market strategies.
  • Build and lead a high-performing marketing strategy that delivers measurable business impact.


Brand & Market Positioning

  • Enhance PPC Flex’s brand presence through consistent messaging, storytelling, and visual identity across all channels and customer touchpoints.
  • Work with Sales leadership and the internal PPC creative team to develop marketing campaigns and collateral.
  • Work with Sales leadership to increase brand visibility through trade events, PR, content marketing, and industry engagement.
  • Work with leadership to establish a PR strategy for market presence and visibility for PPC Flex.
  • Develop and collaborate marketing/PR roadmap with Sales Leadership for each market.
  • Work with HR to support development of employee value proposition and internal communication programs.
  • Ensure PPC Flex’s sustainability and innovation narratives are clearly communicated and differentiated in the market.


Product & Segment Marketing

  • Collaborate & partner to execute on marketing initiatives across key verticals, including food, pet care, nutraceuticals, produce, floral, and healthcare & specialty, tailoring strategies to market segment-specific needs with each Sales Leader.
  • Partner with Sales to support new product/format launches, packaging innovations, and customer engagement programs.
  • Translate technical capabilities into clear, customer-centric value propositions.
  • Define our new target market segments.


Demand Generation & Digital Marketing

  • Oversee and combine outside support to define and maintain an overall digital marketing strategy, including website maintenance/updates, SEO/SEM, social media, content strategy, and marketing automation.
  • Drive qualified lead generation through integrated, data-driven marketing campaigns.
  • Leverage new sourcing tools and create one streamlined process to screen customers and deliver qualified customers to the Business Development team.
  • Measure and optimize marketing performance, ensuring accountability and ROI for each marketing investment, including each tradeshow and/or sales team deployment.


Market Intelligence & Insights

  • Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive activity to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Partner with commercial teams to identify emerging opportunities and support proactive market development initiatives.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field; MBA strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive marketing experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within packaging, manufacturing, or a related B2B sector.
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing strategic marketing programs that drive commercial growth.
  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
  • Expertise in branding, product marketing, demand generation, and digital marketing.
  • Proficiency with CRM and marketing automation tools (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Excellent strategic thinking, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with sustainable packaging trends and market dynamics is a plus.
