Provide expert Respiratory Care to diverse patient population across inpatient and outpatient settings, ranging from neonates to adults. Deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate respiratory therapies and diagnostic testing while maintaining equipment, documenting accurately, and collaborating with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients' respiratory conditions by conducting physical examinations and reviewing medical histories. 

  • Administer respiratorytherapiesincluding medical gas delivery,nebulization,chestphysiotherapy,airwaymanagement,andmechanicalventilation(invasiveandnon-invasive)forpediatric,adolescent,adult,andneonatalpatients. 

  • Performdiagnostictestingsuchasarterialbloodgas(ABG)collection and analysis, pulmonary function testing, and pulseoximetry 

  • Monitorpatientphysiologicalresponsestotreatmentsandadjust careorescalateconcernsasappropriate. 

  • Manageartificialairwaysandtroubleshootrespiratoryequipmenttoensurepatientsafetyandtherapyeffectiveness. 

  • Activememberofthemedicalemergency responseteams. 

  • Maintainaccurate,timely,andthoroughdocumentationinthe patient electronicmedicalrecord(EMR.). 

  • Communicate andcollaborate effectivelywithinterdisciplinaryteamsregardingpatientstatusandtherapyplans. 

  • Provideassistance withinternalpatient transports. 

  • Providepatientandfamilyeducationonrespiratorypathophysiology and pharmacologictherapies. 

  • Set up,maintain, and troubleshoot respiratory therapy equipment. 

  • Perform routine cleaning and disinfection of respiratory therapy equipment. 

  • Serve as a preceptor and mentor for respiratory therapy students andnew staff. 

  • Participate in departmental and multidisciplinary committees focused on quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical outcomes. 

Qualifications

Education:

  • Associate'sor Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited programrequired.

  • GraduateofaCoARCapprovedRespiratoryCareprogram required.

Experience:

License(s)/Certification(s):
