We're looking for internet culture geeks, meme aficionados, TikTok and Reddit natives, who love staying on top of the latest cultural phenomenon to inspire and create cool work.
Chronically online? That's tablestakes. As part of a growing team we're looking for someone who's an expert at translating insights into impact. Someone who understands the depths of subcommunities, can easily spot cultural shifts and lives in the comment sections of the newest social platform.
In short, we're looking for a creative, out-of-the-box strategist prized to break the internet and trades.

Responsibilities
  • Research and distill complex cultural signals into clear insights, POVs, and opportunity spaces for creative, strategy, and client teams
  • Track shifts in audience behavior, language, humor, and formats to help brands stay culturally fluent and platform-native
  • Develop trend reports, cultural briefings, and real-time alerts that inspire proactive and reactive creative thinking
  • Understand and evaluate trend longevity vs. flash-in-the-pan moments to guide smart brand participation and risk assessment for brands
  • Surface competitive and category insights, identifying how other brands are showing up in culture and where there's white space
  • Be a thought leader on culture, creators, fandoms, entertainment, and community conversations to anticipate what's next, not just what's now

Qualifications
  • A 4-year degree and 2-4 years working in digital and/or communications
  • Experience living in the social media universe-you're in-the-know on YouTube, Reddit, Tumblr, Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, blogs, etc.
  • Excellent research and writing skills-and the ability to craft culture-driven insights and opportunities quickly
  • Have an understanding and interest in emerging social platforms like Amino, Fizz, Discord, Wattpad, Letterboxd
  • Collaborative work ethic
  • A curiosity and proficiency for creating social content
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, coordinating multiple projects simultaneously with hard deadlines
  • Great presentation skills

Compensation Range: $66,120 - $91,350 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met.
