Role Description

The Marketing & Communications Specialist is currently a part-time, hybrid on-site and remote work role based in Rexburg, ID. This role is responsible for planning and executing marketing campaigns that promote events, nightly activities, and special promotions at Fizz Rizz Entertainment Venue. Day-to-day tasks include creating and managing social media content, coordinating digital and print marketing materials, and developing email and outreach campaigns to increase venue awareness and attendance. The specialist will collaborate closely with event and operations teams to ensure consistent branding, timely communication, and engaging messaging across all touchpoints. This role also involves monitoring performance metrics, supporting public relations initiatives, and interacting with guests and community partners to strengthen the venue’s visibility and reputation.


Qualifications

  • Strong Communication skills, including clear writing, messaging, and interpersonal communication with diverse audiences.
  • Ability to perform Market Research to understand local demographics, competitor offerings, and emerging trends in nightlife and entertainment.
  • Experience in Sales-related activities such as promoting events, driving ticket or table reservations, and supporting revenue-generating campaigns.
  • Skill in developing and executing Marketing Strategy, including campaign planning, branding consistency, and multi-channel promotion.
  • Demonstrated Customer Service skills, with a focus on guest satisfaction, responsiveness, and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, basic design tools, and email marketing software.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends and some holidays as required by event schedules.
  • Prior work experience in entertainment, hospitality, or venue marketing is beneficial.
  • Experience leveraging Artificial Intelligence to assist in brainstorming, planning and analysis... but not to replace organic human made content creation. We still love human art and skill!
  • Strong familiarity with office suites, photo & video editing tools (Adobe, Canva, Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, or similar)
  • Marketing and social media experience with Meta products (Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, YouTube, etc)
  • Generally tech savvy (able to use all mentioned tools and Windows/Mac/Linux OS)

  • Professional experience making professional & organic feeling TikToks, Reels and Shorts videos
  • Professional experience brainstorming, planning, coordinating and executing events
  • Professional experience developing, making, promoting, monitoring and boosting social media content
  • Connecting to and bringing in new demographic customers
  • A firm understanding of Rexburg and the surrounding region; the unique cultures, views, demographics and has creative ideas/methods to reach them
  • Experience leading a team of interns
  • Solid handle on Public Relations
  • Experience handling in person marketing methods (flyers, posters, B2B collabs, Public booths, parades, Chamber events)
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (preferred), or equivalent experience will be considered.
