Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and organized Accounts Payable professional to join our finance team. This role will focus on processing and managing fixed assets and vehicle-related accounts payable transactions, while also supporting analytics and reporting for asset and vehicle data. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, proficiency in financial systems, and the ability to interpret and analyze asset-related data to support financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Fixed Assets & Vehicle Accounts Payable:
    • Process and verify vendor invoices for fixed assets and vehicle-related purchases, ensuring accuracy against purchase orders and receipts.
    • Maintain accurate records of all fixed asset and vehicle payable transactions in the general ledger.
    • Reconcile fixed asset and vehicle-related accounts monthly, resolving discrepancies promptly.
    • Track and close out project-based fixed asset accounts upon project completion.
    • Support asset and vehicle analytics by compiling and organizing data for reporting and analysis, including vehicle productivity and other fixed asset spending.
  • General Accounts Payable Duties:
    • Process incoming vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
    • Verify invoice accuracy, apply discounts, and ensure compliance with payment terms
    • Maintain vendor records and relationships.
    • Assist with month-end closing processes and prepare reports for management.
    • Support audits by providing requested documentation and records.

Requirements
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a study directly related to accounting required.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in accounting is required.
  • Prior experience in the field of Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities, healthcare, and non-profit preferred.
  • Proficiency with software (Microsoft Excel, Sage Intacct or similar ERP/GL Software).
  • Demonstrated understanding of business processes, work flow, and internal controls.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to be a self-starter.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license with insurable driving record and reliable transportation.
  • A demonstrated Christian background and a demonstrated ability to fulfill the mission and purpose of the Ministry.

Work Conditions:
  • Standard weekday schedule with occasional evenings, weekends, and extended hours as needed.
  • Occasional travel (local, statewide, or national) may be required, including overnight stays.
