Fix Operations – Parts Department

Position: Fix Operations
Department: Parts
Location: Trooper
Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Saturday: 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (Rotating)
    Reports To: Parts Manager

Position Summary

The Fix Operations Staff member supports the daily functions of the dealership’s parts department. This role ensures efficient inventory handling, accurate parts flow, and timely support for internal service operations. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast‐paced automotive environment.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory & System Management

  • Operate the dealership’s parts management software to look up parts, update records, and process transactions. (Daily)
  • Maintain accurate stock levels and report any discrepancies or low inventory. (Daily)
  • Keep digital and physical inventory records up to date. (Daily)
  • Perform cycle counts and assist with full physical inventory. (Weekly / Monthly)
  • Label shelves, bins, and stock locations. (Weekly)

Service Department Support

  • Deliver parts promptly to technicians based on repair orders. (Daily)
  • Pull, label, and stage correct parts for ongoing jobs. (Daily)
  • Communicate delays, backorders, or part substitutions to the appropriate personnel. (Daily)

Receiving & Shipping

  • Receive incoming shipments, verify packing slips, and inspect items for damage. (Daily)
  • Enter received parts into the system and store them properly. (Daily)
  • Prepare outgoing shipments, including returns, cores, and warranty parts. (Daily / Weekly)

Organization & Safety

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe parts storage area. (Daily)

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in automotive parts or dealership operations required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Must speak and understand English fluently.
  • Must be skilled in finding and identifying used automotive parts.
