Description

Marin, CA | Premier luxury brand | Hospitality | Career path | Veterans encouraged to apply

Swickard Auto Group is a hospitality company that happens to sell and service cars.

We believe the best guest experiences start with the best employee experiences. That's why we've grown to 40+ rooftops across the West Coast, Alaska, and Hawaii while maintaining a culture built on one simple idea: do right by people, every time.

At Mercedes-Benz of Marin, we operate at the highest standard of the luxury automotive industry. That standard doesn't start on the showroom floor -- it starts in the parts department. The Parts Support Specialist is a critical member of the team that keeps our service operation running accurately, efficiently, and on time.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Receive, count, weigh, and verify all incoming parts inventory against purchase orders, packing slips, and bills of lading -- documenting any shortages, overages, or transit damage with precision

Process outbound shipments accurately -- generating shipping labels, utilizing postage meters, and navigating carrier software including UPS, FedEx, DHL, and freight companies

Coordinate professionally with freight carriers, delivery drivers, and external parts suppliers -- representing Mercedes-Benz of Marin with a polished, professional demeanor

Stock, organize, and maintain parts inventory to ensure accurate storage and fast retrieval for the service team

Safely operate material handling equipment including pallet jacks to move and stage incoming and outgoing shipments

Identify and communicate basic automotive components -- supporting accurate parts matching and minimizing order errors

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area that reflects the operational standards of a premier luxury dealership

Support the parts team with additional logistics and administrative tasks as needed

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

High school diploma or equivalent required

1 to 3 years of shipping and receiving or warehouse operations experience strongly preferred

Previous experience in an automotive parts department or dealership setting a strong plus

Familiarity with basic automotive components -- you know the difference between a rotor and a caliper

Hands-on experience with carrier software -- UPS, FedEx, DHL, and freight platforms

Proficient with basic computer programs and dealership management or inventory systems

Forklift certification preferred -- or willingness to obtain

Physically capable of standing and walking on hard warehouse floors for extended periods and frequently lifting and moving bulky automotive components weighing 50 to 70 pounds

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Professional, reliable, and detail-oriented -- accuracy in this role directly impacts the service department and the guest experience

WHAT WE OFFER

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Medical, dental, and vision insurance

Life insurance and supplemental coverage options

Paid time off and paid holidays

On-the-job training and support

Clear path for growth within the parts department and broader Swickard organization

Employee vehicle purchase and service discounts

A stable, team-oriented work environment at one of the most respected luxury dealerships in the Bay Area

WHY MERCEDES-BENZ OF MARIN

An award-winning, high-volume Mercedes-Benz store with a loyal, high-net-worth guest base -- the parts operation here is busy, well-resourced, and consequential

Marin County is one of the most prestigious markets in the Bay Area -- the standard is high, and the team takes pride in meeting it

Swickard is one of the fastest-growing dealer groups in the country -- ranked Top 5 in North America for reputation in the automotive industry

A role where accuracy and reliability are genuinely valued -- what you do every day directly supports the service team and the guest experience

Our HEART values -- Honor, Engage, Anticipate, Respond, Thank -- shape how we treat our team members just as much as our guests

A supportive team environment where you'll be set up to succeed and recognized when you deliver

Mercedes-Benz of Marin is a high-volume, award-winning store that depends on a tight, accurate parts operation to deliver the guest experience this brand demands. The Parts Support Specialist isn't a background role -- it's a foundational one. When you do this job well, the whole service department moves better.

If you're reliable, detail-driven, and ready to be part of a team that holds itself to a high standard -- we'd like to meet you.

Swickard Auto Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
