1st Grade Teacher Strong in English Language Arts (ELA)

First Trinity Academy is a private Pre-K through 9th-grade school in Leesburg, Florida, dedicated to cultivating critical thinking, academic excellence, and character development. Our classrooms are intentionally small to ensure individualized attention, meaningful instruction, and a strong sense of community.
We are seeking a passionate, organized, and highly skilled 1st Grade Teacher with a strong foundation in English Language Arts (ELA) instruction. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of early literacy development, including phonics, reading fluency, comprehension, and writing. This teacher will inspire a love for reading and learning through engaging lessons that balance structure and creativity.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement daily lesson plans focused on ELA, mathematics, science, and social studies
  • Provide systematic phonics, vocabulary, and writing instruction aligned with grade-level standards
  • Differentiate instruction for a small, diverse group of learners
  • Foster critical thinking and strong communication skills through interactive and hands-on learning
