Job description

General Summary The Golf Activity Coordinator works at the 9 or 18-hole golf course, patrolling the course, overseeing golf course activity, ensuring smooth flow of player traffic and observance of regulations and proper use of facilities by customers. Requirements and Job Specifications Education Required: High school graduation or equivalent required. License(s) Required: Valid LA Class E Driver's License.

Years Relevant Work Experience Required: Ability to play golf, and thorough knowledge of game, rules, protocol and etiquette as well as strong communications and interpersonal skills. Other Job Specifications: Suitable knowledge regarding the golf swing, the rules & etiquette of golf, golf equipment, and golf training aids. Basic computer and administrative skills and has the ability to assist with maintaining inventory and facility records as well as providing a safe environment for course patrons.

Functions and Duties Provide golf instruction to junior golfers; provide lesson information from the First Tee curriculum. Assist in setting up, taking down, and storing equipment necessary for instruction and competition for First Tee related programming. Assist in supervising juniors regarding safety matters.

Assist in the operations of BREC's junior golf competition. Assist in any outreach or affiliate programming (such as schools or other BREC facilities). Assist in maintaining records and guidelines associated with The First Tee program.

Assist in keeping facility neat, clean, and organized. Assist in keeping inventory of BREC's First Tee materials and aids. Assist in providing information to the public about BREC's First Tee programming.

Assist with fundraising and promotional efforts for The First Tee program. Supplemental Information As scheduled, up to 29 hours per week of rotating days, including evening and weekend work as required. Resumes will not be accepted in lieu of a completed application.
