Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

Acts as the agent of the Director of Golf to greet players and check receipts, inform customers of and enforce golf course rules and regulations. Golf Greeter duties involve golf activities such as greeting players, maintaining accurate tee time, customer and pace of play records and informing golfers of and enforcing golf course rules and regulations.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Punctuality; Friendly and outgoing personality
  • Reliable car transportation
  • Food & Beverage or Retail work experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer skills and understanding
  • Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team
  • Can work many hours on feet and can work at irregular hours
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Valid driver license
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Providing and delivering exceptional member/guest services
  • Running of the 1st Tee and ensuring tee times run in a timely manner
  • Greeting of guests and conveying club policies/information about the course.
  • Assist in the club storage, and cart fleet duties when necessary
  • Setting up the Driving Range and monitoring golf ball levels
  • Ensuring club storage and all outside courtyard areas are clean
  • Occasional “Marshal” trips around the golf course
  • Informs golfers of rules and regulations pertaining to the golf course, enforces rules and, if necessary, removes golfers from the course for flagrant violations of course rules, golf etiquette or safety.
  • Checks daily play tickets, provides direction and assistance to golfers and ensures the smooth flow of play on the course.
  • Provides timely updates and communications regarding pace of play, status of tee times, course conditions and other pertinent information to the Golf Pro Shop.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
  • Standing on feet; Walking; Carrying objects; Stooping; Kneeling
  • Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
  • Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
  • Must be able to lift 20 lbs
  • Must be able to stand on feet majority of the day.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is performed outdoors with exposure to extreme heat/humidity. Occasional inside help as needed.
