Job description

The Golf Course Starter / First Tee Host is one of the most visible team members at the Club and plays an important role in creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for all members and guests. This position is responsible for organizing groups on the first tee, maintaining the tee schedule, monitoring pace of play, and communicating course expectations and policies to golfers.
The Golf Course Starter / First Tee Host also assists with daily operations including guest check-in, maintaining supplies at the first tee, supporting outside staff and Pro Shop operations, and ensuring the course and clubhouse areas remain clean and guest-ready.
We are looking for candidates available to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Possesses knowledge of the game of golf, including rules and etiquette.

  • Enjoys working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Is dependable, organized, and guest-service oriented.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Organize and maintain the orderly flow of play according to scheduled tee times.
  • Communicate tee-off order and pace-of-play expectations to golfers.
  • Provide exceptional first-contact service to members and guests.
  • Maintain first tee supplies including scorecards, pencils, tees, and ball markers.
  • Assist with guest check-in, activity sign-ups, and tee time reservations.
  • Support Pro Shop operations and outside staff as needed.
  • Report maintenance concerns and help keep golf course areas clean and presentable.
  • Assist with daily play totals and other operational duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous hospitality or customer service experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license preferred and must meet company driving requirements if operating company vehicles.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 30 pounds as needed throughout the shift.
