Recovery House Manager
Job Description
SUPERVISED BY: Manager of Housing Operations
SUPERVISES: N/A
SUMMARY: Monitor the daily activities of the outpatient clients living in First Step Home housing. Assist moving clients in and out of apartments.
Days/hours of work are Tuesday through Saturday, day shift
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Educate clients about the importance of developing necessary life skills to prepare them for independent living after completing the transition phase of treatment (e.g. organization, time management and budgeting skills).
Responsible for apartment/house inspections prior to clients moving in and out.
Assist in moving clients in and out of apartments.
Monitor the FSH campus houses to ensure the property is maintained appropriately.
Redirect clients (when necessary) and refer them to FSH clinical team members during times of crisis.
Provide updated census data, as needed.
Collaborate with the FSH Manager of Housing Operations to accommodate clients who are progressing into the housing phase of their treatment by coordinating their placement and the placement of the child(ren) in appropriate apartments.
Provide an update to the supervisor regarding clients' progress in housing and report any concerns.
Participate in scheduled supervision sessions with the FSH Manager of Housing Operations.
Coordinate facility maintenance issues with Manager of Housing Operations and other house managers.
Report all behavioral issues to primary therapist.
Ensure security of clients.
Work to attain the goals as written in job performance evaluations.
Conduct ORH outcome survey, initial and follow-up.
Abide by the standards as set forth in First Step Home's Compliance Plan and Code of Conduct.
Responsible for following all safety rules and safe health practices of First Step Home, Inc.
Pursue training necessary for enhancing clinical skills, supervision skills, administrative skills and acquiring and maintaining appropriate credentials and licenses.
Comply with all agency policies, procedures and directives of immediate supervisor, the President/CEO and the Board of Trustees of First Step Home, Inc.
Responsible for following the Core Values of First Step Home, Inc.
Other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
Must be able to traverse and access all areas of the campus.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High School Diploma or GED required.
2. CDCA required.
3. Experience in substance use recovery required
