Nature & Purpose of Position
The SHSU First-Generation Center is currently seeking passionate and dedicated first-generation students to serve as Student Ambassadors. In this role, ambassadors will work closely with the Center's leadership team to support daily operations and lead targeted programming designed to uplift and engage the first-generation student community.
Other Requirements for the Position
First-Generation Student Assistants will support daily office operations, including answering phones, welcoming and assisting guests, and maintaining an organized and efficient office environment.
• Serve as a representative of the SHSU First-Generation Center.
• Welcome and engage with prospective first-generation students and their families at New Student Orientation.
• Encourage involvement in the First-Generation Center, university organizations, and campus events.
