  • First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking compassionate and reliable Per-Diem Licensed Practical Nurses for the Hampton Roads area to join our team.

  • Responsibilities:
    • LPN Job Duties Include ( but not limited ) most of the following duties: collect data from patients, administer medications to patients, reinforce patient education, , provide wound care, provide supervision to unlicensed personnel, such as nursing aides, collect various kinds of specimen samples from patients, including urine and stool, ensure that medical equipment is functioning properly, call doctors and advanced providers for orders, coordinate care for their patients, insert peripheral intravenous lines, perform intake and output monitoring, clean and change tracheostomy ties, respond to patient emergencies, maintain logs of narcotics, may aid patients with activities of daily living, supervise patients in common meal areas.
    • Job Duties include (but not limited to): Handwashing, Donning and Doffing Gown and Gloves, Positioning in Fowler's Position, Positioning in Lateral Position, Transferring from Bed to Chair Using a Gait Belt, Assisting the Resident in Walking Using a Gait Belt, Making an Occupied Bed, Passive Range of Motion on the Upper Body, Passive Range of Motion on the Lower Body, Brushing Dentures, Mouth Care, Upper and lower Body Partial Bed Bath, Female Perineal Care, Shaving, Assisting Dressing with an Immobile Arm, Serving and Feeding a Paralyzed Patient, Assisting with Bedpans, Recording Radial Pulse, Recording Respirations, Recording Blood Pressure.



  • Requirements: (3-5 specific requirements needed to be hired)
      • Covid Vaccine or weekly testing
      • 1 Year Minimum Experience in a facility-based position
      • BLS/CPR
      • PPD within one year
      • Active LPN License 
      • Must be able to lift at least 50 miles or more without Restrictions 
      • Must be able to stand and walk for long hours without Restrictions 
      • Must be able to lift and bend without Restrictions
