ABOUT THIS ROLE

We are seeking a Sales Engineer to serve as a key technical expert and product advocate for our technology solutions, explaining the features of the product in detail, understanding the customer's requirements, and providing tailored solutions to ensure client satisfaction and maximize sales opportunities. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between sales and engineering, supporting sales teams with technical expertise during client meetings, presentations, and implementations.
Duties/Responsibilities

  • Technical Sales Support: Effectively communicate the technical capabilities of our SaaS solutions to financial institutions and fintech companies during the sales process through presentations, demonstrations, and pilot implementations.

  • Solution Design: Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand technical and business requirements, crafting tailored solutions that deliver measurable value.

  • Client Relationship Building: Develop strong, confidence-building relationships with key stakeholders, enabling frictionless product adoption and reinforcing AFS's reputation as a trusted partner.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, R&D, and Marketing teams to provide client feedback, influence roadmap prioritization, and execute go-to-market strategies.

  • Post-Sales Training & Support: Educate customers through training sessions, onboarding support, and ongoing technical coaching to drive successful product adoption.

  • Market Research and Analysis: Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and the competitive landscape, using insights to inform strategy and improve customer engagement.


Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) required

  • 3+ years of experience in sales engineering, technical consulting, or related roles within financial technology, SaaS, or custody/clearing services.

  • Strong technical knowledge and ability to discuss detailed product specifications with both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Experience working in fast-paced, client-facing environments.

Salary Range

$91,200-$114,000

The annual base salary range for this position is noted above. Exact compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and office location.
