The Role:
Forge's platform engineering team is passionate about innovation and building scalable, secure infrastructure solutions that drive liquidity and growth in the private market. We are seeking a passionate platform engineer with at least 7 years of experience delivering robust infrastructure solutions that are scalable, secure, and easy to maintain. The ideal candidate thrives in team settings and is motivated by creating success all around them through strong communication, architecting great developer experiences, and making data-driven decisions.
To succeed in the Staff Platform Engineer role at Forge, you'll leverage your infrastructure and software expertise to successfully deliver high-quality platforms both individually and through technical leadership of others. You will have the ability to take on advanced infrastructure projects-ranging from multi-cluster orchestration to SOC 2 compliance automation-while also being a productive and collaborative member of the team.
Location: This position is remote in Denver, CO. We intend to open an office in Denver and once we do, we will require hybrid attendance onsite at least 9 days each month.
Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable infrastructure using Terraform and Kubernetes
  • Architect and manage GitOps delivery pipelines (e.g., Flux) to streamline deployments across multiple applications, environments, and tech stacks
  • Bridge the gap between infrastructure and software engineering by building internal tooling and automation through code
  • Collaborate with development teams to understand system domains, promote DevOps best practices, and improve developer velocity
  • Drive platform security and governance initiatives, including policy-as-code implementations (e.g., Kyverno) and compliance support
  • Mentor engineering team members through pairing, documentation, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in software or platform engineering with a strong focus on infrastructure and DevOps
  • Deep, hands-on expertise in Kubernetes administration and the cloud-native ecosystem
  • Advanced proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
  • Extensive experience designing and operating GitOps workflows (e.g., Argo CD, Flux)
  • Strong software engineering skills with the ability to read, write, and debug code across multiple application

Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have)
  • Experience with C# and Dotnet framework
  • Experience with Azure and AWS Cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience working in geographically distributed teams
  • Fintech or Financial services industry experience.

For residents of Denver, CO the annual salary range for this role is $150,000 - $170,000+ annual bonus. Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, candidate experience and expertise, bonus, and other factors
