Job description

Junoon restaurant (One michelin star) Looking for a captain to start immidiately.
The Captain is responsible for serving guests in a warm, accommodating and professional manner to ensure total guest satisfaction. They are in charge of a specific station and should always be present on the floor making sure that service runs smoothly.
The Captain will not only be knowledgeable and passionate about food, wine, and service standards in general, but they will also possess a commanding knowledge of the menu specific to the restaurant. They must have a comprehensive knowledge of the Food and Wine menu
The position requires strong food and wine knowledge and at least 3 years of service experience in a fine dining environment.
We are looking for individuals possessing:
• positivity, a sense of responsibility and the ability to be flexible throughout our opening process
• strong organizational skills, this will be a detail oriented environment
Prior fine dining experience in a New York City restaurant is recommended.
Significant service experience in an upscale dining establishment preferred
Ability to direct a small team
Ability to improvise and make impromptu decisions in accordance with the steps of service and the restaurant's standards
Open availability
Able to effectively communicate in English
