About this Position

Financial Systems Analyst is responsible for leading the testing and implementation of automated financial information systems and updates related to assigned ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), EPM (Enterprise Performance Management) and other financial systems. Continuously identifies and evaluates process and system improvements; ensuring changes in business requirements, laws and regulations are addressed. Tests and implements new functionality, developing training and procedures documents, and training staff on system and process changes. Position acts as a business expert on systems and processes in financial processes providing guidance and feedback on use of system and processes to associates.

Role Summary

Works to implement minor system enhancements in ERP and EPM modules in support of the Accounting and Reporting teams to improve system efficiency or reduce errors. Participates in the design, testing, implementation, and evaluation of system enhancements or new systems. Performs system administration support. Requires working and conceptual knowledge in their own job discipline. Performs a range of assignments related to job discipline. Accountable for their own work and effective coordination of process and information with others. Works independently, within guidelines and policies for ongoing work; may receive general guidance on new assignments

Responsibilities

  • Supports the implementation of new or updated financial systems, including the building, testing, and training phases. Implement minor system improvements in assigned area to improve system efficiency or reduce errors.
  • Provides support to end users on system functionality. Makes recommendations for process improvements based on system usage.
  • Conducts ongoing system maintenance and reporting. Supports monthly and quarterly reporting for finance teams.
  • Identifies process improvements for assigned automated financial information systems. Provides escalated support to end users.
  • Coordinates between Finance and Technology to ensure systems are integrated and aligned with Technology protocols.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, information systems, or related field or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
  • Understanding of Accounting principles & processes
  • Proficiency working with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, etc.
  • 2+ years of total relevant work experience
  • Experience supporting complex system implementations and/or process improvement projects.

Preferred:

  • Ability to work within cross-functional teams such as Finance, Accounting, and Technology to coordinate and drive priorities and objectives
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Continuous improvement mindset

FINRA Requirements

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home.
