Job description

As a Global Product Manager within TriMas Packaging, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our product portfolio on a global scale. You will be responsible for developing and executing product strategies to meet market needs, driving innovation, and maximizing profitability. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, market analysis & insight, and exceptional cross-functional collaboration to ensure the success of our products now and into the future.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Strategy Development:

  • Develop &execute comprehensive product vision & strategies aligned to the company'soverall objectives & market trends.
  • Conduct market research, competitor &supplier analysis, & customer feedback to identify opportunities forproduct differentiation & innovation.
  • Define product positioning, pricingstrategies, and go-to-market plans to maximize market penetration andprofitability.
  • Define and oversee operational plans tosupport sales teams  incl comms &positioning, collateral, samples, sell sheets etc

Product Lifecycle Management:

  • Manage the entire product lifecycle fromconcept to end-of-life, including new product development, launch planning, andproduct rationalisation. Illustrate via product roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teamsincluding R&D, manufacturing, sales, PMO & GMs to ensure timely andsuccessful product launches.
  • Monitor product performance and markettrends, making data-driven decisions to optimize product offerings and drivecontinuous improvement.

Global Market Expansion:

  • Identify and evaluate opportunities formarket expansion in new geographic regions and market segments.
  • Develop and execute market entrystrategies, including market positioning, exclusivity & prioritisation and anyregulatory or local compliance requirements.
  • Work closely with regional sales teams tosupport local market expansion initiatives & T1 focus to drive revenuegrowth.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build strong relationships with key (T1) customersand partners to understand their needs, preferences, and pain points.
  • Gather customer feedback & insights& expert opinions to inform product development priorities andenhancements.
  • Act as a product expert and providetraining and support to internal teams and customers as needed.

Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage product budgets,forecasts, and SMART KPIs including financial sales & profit metrics.
  • Monitor product profitability, pricingstrategies, and cost optimization initiatives to ensure alignment withfinancial goals.
  • Identify opportunities for revenue growthand cost savings to drive overall profitability.
