Our client is a mission-driven organization seeking an Accounting Specialist to support their team with essential financial operations.


Position Summary:

The Accounting Specialist will handle day-to-day accounting tasks with a focus on accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and financial data entry. A key responsibility will be moving and reconciling data from spreadsheets into our accounting system. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a nonprofit environment.


Key Responsibilities of Accounting Specialist:
  • Process AP and AR transactions accurately and on time

  • Enter financial data from Excel spreadsheets into the accounting system

  • Reconcile accounts and vendor statements

  • The Accounting Specialist will track and code expenses by project or grant

  • Assist with monthly closings, audits, and reports
