Today we are still trusted partners for actors, producers, writers and directors, but we're also the financial concierge for professional athletes, innovators and entrepreneurs.
Summary: Tax Manager is responsible for handling the tax needs of clients regarding personal and business tax matters. Includes tax return preparation and review, year-end tax projection planning, estimates, and tax research. Tax Manager works closely with all levels of the tax department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review complex Individual (resident and non-resident), C and S Corporation, Partnership, Fiduciary, Gift, Single Member LLC, Foreign Bank Account Report, Exempt Organization and Private Foundation tax returns
  • Review Business License, Property Tax, and Sales & Use tax returns
  • Prepare and review tax adjusting journal entries for business management clients' books and records
  • Prepare and review quarterly tax estimates and year-end individual projections and business closeouts
  • Prepare and review tax basis schedules
  • Respond to IRS and state taxing authority notices and audits
  • Point of contact with various non-business management tax clients and business management affiliates
  • Prepare and review Forms W-2, 1099, and 1042 as necessary
  • Tax research
  • Develop procedures, processes, and templates to establish best practices

Knowledge, Education, Skills, and/or Abilities:
  • Education Bachelor's Degree
  • CPA license
  • 7-15 years tax experience
  • Accounting proficiency
  • Proficiency with Tax Preparation and Projection Software, (Prosystem FX & BNA preferred)
  • Proficiency with Excel and Word
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Personable, positive and enthusiastic attitude
  • Proficient in overseeing multiple projects and meeting strict deadlines
  • Ability to work with a variety of personalities
  • Taking initiative
  • Problem-solving ability

Certificates, Licenses, Registration:
  • Certified Public Accountant

What We Offer:
We're proud to offer a competitive salary, PTO & paid holidays and 401(k) with match and more. The base salary range for this position is $125,000 to $173,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
