Hello, I'm Bianka, Senior Team Leader at Fed Finance, a recruitment firm specializing in accounting, finance, and payroll positions. I handle both temporary and permanent recruitment in the Greater Montreal area.

Mission

Reporting to the Senior Director of Corporate Accounting, the Senior
Financial Analyst is a critical role in producing insightful financial
analysis and reporting to senior management, shareholders, Board
of Directors, and lenders, highlighting key trends, risks, and
opportunities to support strategic decision-making. The incumbent
will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our
financial records. He will also contribute to document accounting
policies, implement and communicate them across the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and prepare executive-level financial performance
reports, presentations and dashboards.
• Conduct variance analysis, valuate cost structure, identify
trends, risks and cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual statutory financial
statements.
• Assist with year-end audits and provide documentation and
support as needed.
• Contribute to document accounting policies for the
organization.
• Assist with corporation taxes and insurance related
matters.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes,
enhance efficiency, and strengthen internal controls,
implementing best practices as needed.
• Promote a collaborative team environment and work
closely with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve goals.

Your profile

EXPERIENCE
• Minimum of 5 years experience.
• Experience in an accounting firm.
• Bilingual (English and French) as this role must
communicate with out of province stakeholders.
• Strong background in accounting principles (GAAP for
private enterprise), consolidation and financial
reporting, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the
ability to interpret financial data and trends
effectively.
• Outstanding organisational skills including the ability
to manage and prioritise concurrent tasks, meet
deadlines and to work in an independent, flexible
manner where required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with
the ability to engage with a broad range of
stakeholders (both internal and external) both in the
provision of information, support and advice.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, rapidly evolving
organization.
• Self-motivated and pro-active achiever able to meet
deadlines.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft
D365 Business experience (preferable).
